Carson junior Kaelin Roberts ran a national-leading 52.28 in the 400, contributed to a national-leading 45.06 in the girls 4 x 100 relay, anchored the 4 x 400 relay to victory in 52.2 to prevail in 3:42.80 at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Roberts also placed second in the 200 in 23.40 to help Carson win its first team title with 40 points.
